Default How do I delete all files for a game?

After deleting a game from XMB, then reinstalling it still starts me at the same point. Are there hidden saved files somewhere or something? I looked for the NPUA after deleting from XMB and it's not there.

    More specifically:
I was playing Infamous Festival of Blood, tried to change appearance settings and now the game is stuck in an unplayable mode. I deleted the game from XMB, reinstalled it and it still starts me at the same place I was. How do I delete all the files associated with it so I can install and start from the beginning? I tried to find the NPUA folder in the GAME folder but it was not there.

I suppose while I'm at it, how would I save the save data for games I want to move to an external HD so when I want to play them again I haven't lost all my progress?

Generally there are three places where you can delete game related files/folders, those are the game itself, game data folder, and game save data folder, All of them are on the XMB. So you start still at the same point because you still have the save data stored and that is what you have to delete to start from some other point/beginning.

About the hidden files those can be explored with any file manager, I recommend Multiman. With it you can brows for the folders with the game id for the game targeted.

As for the second question use the backup/copy option on the game save data you want to backup, you can do that by browsing it and pressing triangle then select option copy.

Thanks for the reply but this is pretty much what I've already tried. I started with deleting the game from XMB and then using MM's file manager to look for other files/folders with matching game ID. I didn't see any there. Are the files somewhere other than the GAME folder?

There should be a folder that contains some game related folders, I think it was the game(not capital) folder. If that doesn't work then I recommend a format. That is what I did to GT5 to work.

Yeah, that's what I've already tried. game folder and GAMES folder. Deleted everything w/ game ID and it's still acting up. By doing a format do you mean reinstall my CFW? I've installed True Blue CFW over Kmeaw since installing Festival Of Blood and that didnt do any good.

No you have the hdd format utility under options it should be there somewhere. I personally did a full format and maintained the cfw, if you have a slim ps3 the result should the the same.
But be sure to backup saves and game backups, since it will delete everything except for the cfw files, if you think that it is worth do it if not then don't.
