Default Red Dead Redemption Won't Copy:

I just bought Red Dead Redemption and it won't copy.

It goes to 4% 14 out of 15 and then stop working. Time Remaining keeps going up. Does this game generally have problems with multiman?

I'm running 3.55 Kwae and the latest multiman. Let me know before see if they will let me replace it for the same game. :-) I have tried to load it the regular way as well, but it also fails to install on the hard drive for some reason. I'm thinking it's the disc but want to make sure. Yes, it's a new game... :-(

I bought it, new from BB, loaded the disc. Put it in. Opened Multiman, click copy... It says copying 15 files. Gets to 360... Then the remaining timer keeps going up.

I tried to load it regularly and it still installs something to the hard drive and that freezes as well. Maybe it's a 3.55 issue?

This is the first game I can't copy to my hard drive from a disc yet. Even games that I can't play yet, still have copied for me.

Edit: I'm trying to make a backup, so I can put the disc away. I prefer to load games from my hard drive if possible to switch between games. :-)

Note: Just tried to load the regular way from disc again and it freezes at installing 58%. :-(

I talked to a BB rep that said they'd exchange it for the same item and mark it as defective.

I will give it a shot and report back to you. I'm wondering if they did anything to new copies of the game. Figured you guys would know! Hopefully I just got a defective game. I'll report back when I can confirm it was a defective blu-ray or not.

Hmm have you perhaps checked if you got enough space on your internal HDD when installing? Also, you must copy it to INTERNAL HDD since it contains 4+gb files, if you try to copy it to external HDD (FAT32 Format) it wont copy or get stuck.

Also, go to data utility, find RDR install data, delete it and try again. Sometimes installation gets corrupted. Then boot the game again it'll try to reinstall. Had that problem with Infamous.

Yeah. I tried doing to to my internal and external drive. My external has 700g free and the eternal 80g. Thanks for helping everyone.

I'll do the other part before I put the new one in!
