Thread: How do you guys rip your original files from your PS3?

Hi guys,
I'm just interested.
A lot of people upload their PSN data (edat, rap etc.) but this means they use the newest firmware and I wonder how they are able to access those files and copy them.
Also I thought the HDD was encrypted although graf chocolo cracked it but I'm not sure if it was released.

They use data transfer. They have 2 ps3s one is on cfw 3.55 spoofed to 4.00 and the other one is on ofw 4.00. They use the data transfer from the ofw to cfw and then use reactpsn and share the .edats .raps.

so you have access to those file on ofw4 also...

it is formatted after data transfer. But as you are on ofw, you can redownload any stuff tied to your psn account.

they are transferred to the 3.55 console. and then are backed up and uploaded.
to do this you need two consoles you can devote to this. (one will be wiped entirely and the other one will have all the data moved to the other one each time you do it)

u definitely have to respect them for devoting time to the scene for free which is more than can be said for many of the supposed ps3 hackers.

hacking is harder than just getting the files.
all these methods were developed by hackers. this is just piracy scene stuff.
they are just doing the legwork.
