these info are available on different sites, specially when E3 and progskeep introduced they will officially document this, I was lucky that I read that news, also when I bought this model its was 3.50 so I downgrade it to 3.41 when stable cfw comes I moved to 3.55

DATE-CODES

The principle behind DATE-CODES is simple: the first character represent the YEAR, and the second character represents the QUARTER of that year it that console was manufactured.

DATE-CODE of “XY” would mean the console was manufactured in the “Y” QUARTER of YEAR “X”. Simple right?

this is the list you can downgrade or not, only 1A you cannot downgrade if its factory firmware is above 3.55

The Date code can be found in the following locations (depending on your console type):

PS3 FAT: Sticker on the back.
PS3 Slim (CECH2 Series): Sticker on the bottom.
PS3 Slim (CECH3 Series): Sticker on the back.

well E3 flasher and progskeet both are good select anyone you like, and you can downgrade it

Hello All, PLease forgive my ignorance.
My PS3 (CECH-2508B) was originally at 3.5 when i purchased it and then I had installed Keamu 3.55.
After that my cousin bymistake updated to 4.0 firmware.
I am new to E3 flasher and downgrade scene.
After I connect E3 flasher and downgrade, do i need to keep E3 connected to boot in 3.55? Or can i remove it after downgrading to 3.55.
Is the downgrade to 3.55 permanent until i upgrade to some newer firmware?
Can E3 flasher be used on only 1 system or on multiple systems to downgrade?
