Thread: Ps3 update

So I haven't been on the scene for awhile now and the last thing I remember is that I was using fu**psn to get online. Pretty sure thats long gone but I was wandering if there is any way to play online with cfw 3.55? Found some stuff online but I think they all been patched, thanks.

with xlink kai u can, but not via psn. I've never actually used xlink kai, so I'm not sure how well it works.

no way to play online on this firmware....sony will ask you to update to OFW 4.00

I thought so, thanks for the info. I'll just use my ps3 for story mode then.

you'r welcome.. but don't lose your hope.. if they release cfw 4.00, you'll be able to play online..it's a matter of time, i believe

nope, we will never, ever, be on psn again with cfw. Sony didnt mind modded users playing online, but then people started stealing straight from psx store and ruined the entire scene for everyone. sony shut down the entire network even for their paying customers for over a month because of this and will do so again should the modded guys get back online, sony gave us a few inches of leeway and greedy bastards grabbed for 5 feet instead and the whole damn thing came crashing down.

Only way to play online with cfw is xlink or xailink but both suck so bad its not worth it. cfw ps3 is for offline pure and simple. if you want psn got to get new ps3 for OFW.

we may in the future get a new cfw, it will not get us back online though. by the time we get cfw 4.0 the ofw will be at 4.5 or higher... also most game now use serial keys as added protection so even if got online couldnt play new titles.

Guys don't get me wrong but CFW users have nothing to do on psn, If you want your freedom stay on the cfw side if you want Sony's cake update to OFW. Or buy another ps3 and get both.

Do you know when was the psn available for cfw? i'd like to know that.. i was off the whole year (2011), so idk... i remember we
had it for a month or so back in the days when 3.41 was released ( i think october-november 2010)..
