Need help using 3.72 spoof on debug
I just installed debug cfw 3.55.2. I read in the pdf that came with it that the spoof comes with the firmware but I can't find the option anywhere and system information displays my ps3 is on 3.55.
The firmware is installed correctly, I have the extra Debug settings in settings menu. Now everyone says it's easy to use, that I just have to press L1+CROSS, but where from?
I ended up downloading the 3.72 spoof as a seperate file and installed the package. I thought that would do the thing, but instead, it installed a new icon in my games menu called 3.72 Version Spoofer (3.55). I launched it and it started installing a firmware. Now that the install is done, it's not working. My system settings still display 3.55 and if I press L1+Cross, it simply launches or opens whatever I'm highlighting, a game, a setting or whatever. Where the hell am I supposed to press L1+Cross to activate/deactivate ?
Sorry if it may sound easy for some people but I've googled and only found dead youtube links.

Spoofing a firmware will not allow you to run 3.6+ games...it'll only avoid ''accidental'' update of the console....

Actually +rep from me for looking yourself first then making the question.
Anyways, normally you would only have to go to the rebug selector, once you enter there will be the modes displayed and the button combination how to activate and deactivate debug mode.
Here's a vid on how it would look like: 3.55 Ps3 with Custom Firmware and Debug Settings - YouTube

If you want to be more informed about the scene, check the ps3devwiki
+rep if I was helpful/useful >here<

Aw man, I just found out there was a pkg waiting to be installed on the internal hdd (rebug selector). That's why I could find anything. Thanks for the other info anyway, +rep
