Thread: PS3 Game Problem.

OK So Uncharted 3 just finished downloading. I Split it using PS3Splitter and then put it on my External HDD. I then plugged it into my PS3 Went to Multiman and the game was there. Anyways My disc drive does not work. When I start Multiman it says BDmenu cannot load restricted or something like that. Then I press OK And the game shows up in Multiman. I pressed X To play then changed the sfo to 3.55. My PS3 Restarted and brought me back to the menu. I went into Multiman again pressed the game and the same thing happened again. I can't play the game. It gives me a black screen for about 2 seconds and then goes to the menu. Please please any help? I am new at this.

mm loads the game in to the xmb,try launching it from there...no direct boot i guess...or else i don't know.

How do I launch it from XMB? My disc drive does not work.

I used MM once when I ripped MvC3 and I needed a disc in the drive to play it (doesn't matter what disc). After you click on the game in MM it sends you to the PS3 XMB and you go to app data to play the game (It will be like the game disc is in the tray), have any game disc in the tray and play it (you get an error with no disc in the tray). This might not work for you since your disc drive is broke. I don't know for sure but I hope you didn't DL all that for nothing. I'm rookie when it comes playing games from MM so I guess take this with a grain of salt. Good luck in finding help.

i dont know if uncharted requires disc inserted,many games dont so you just need to load the game from mm then launch it from app data in xmb but some games do need the disc in

I checked and it doesn't The problem is When I even press on app data in xmb it still gives me and error. Its says it can't open the app.

I'm pretty sure uncharted 3 does not require a disc. I believe any game that requires a disc must also be on an external hdd. many people, including myself, have uncharted 3 on the internal.

Yes, this game works discless... However, to boot it normally you'll need a fix: Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!
Also, if you want to free up space you delete 3D .m2v files in "USRDIR/build/main/movie1" folder and "USRDIR/build/main/sound1/streams/speech" .psarc's files not in your language to gain around 18gb of space. Nice deal for me !

false,all my games that need disc in drive can be played fine from internal hdd.
