Thread: My PS3 stops working when I go back to the XMB screen

I let my friends install multiman on my ps3 then after about 2-3 months, my PS3 suddenly stops working when I go back to the XMB screen that is why I always have to do a hard reset whenever that happens. It doesn't play games from my multiman also although it can still read original cd's but it still stops working when going back to the xmb screen. I have no clue on what to do. Please help me with regards to this matter.

go into the recovery menu, from there select rebuild file database.

if rebulit Database did not work for you try with restore file system

Well you could also just reinstall the CFW that would fix the problem.

Go into recovery mode and reinstall your CFW (install kmeaw)

backup your savefiles and do a full format on your HDD. It happens to me also last 3.41 Jailbreak scene.

You might have similar symptoms like what I encounter:

When you launch game:

- Press PS button and you will see the icons of games and homebrews dont load up, if you press the PS button again, it will stuck up on timer.
- When you quit a game, it always reset your console.
- Random hangups.

make sure also you have one of the latest multiman versions,less buggy.

By rebuilding my file database or by restoring my file system, does that mean that the multiman will be erased? can you please give me a link to the latest version of multiman? I have tried many times but i still cannot search for a new version. This will help me a lot. Thanks in advance.
