    Default Question about updating ps3 games

    hi
    i have a question
    i am using a rebug 3.55.2 cfw and i plan on updating my hyperdimension neptunia file by installing the files that can be found here
    PS3 Game Updates - Brewology - PS3 PSP WII XBOX - Homebrew News, Saved Games, Downloads, and More!

    my question is...
    will installing these updates accidentally upgrade my firmware into ofw?

    no, but the update may be signed with newer keys making the game unplayable. if that occurs, just delete the update in the game data tab in xmb.

    no way... but the update can be from a higher firmware (3.6+) and then your game will not boot....
    Try ''Awesome Update Finder'' to check the firmware the updates require !!

    I second that! Also, if you DO update a game which require 3.6+ to boot, dont worry, exit game, go to Game Data utility and delete the update/patch and delete it! Game will be back to base eboot/version and work again

    does anyone know where i can find a download link for the awesome update finder
    its kinda hard to look for one now since there is a mass suicide of file sharing sites
