    Default New ps3 console firmware?

    Hi will like to know if i buy new ps3 console what the default firmware they put? the latests one ?

    It matters, if you're lucky you will be able to get a 3.55, but is most likely not to happen. If you'll buy one anyway you can downgrade with progskeet but it's not an easy task.

    no you cant, the box is completely sealed. until its open and you plug in and see the software version, you cant know it. its only a matter of luck if you get 3.55 at this time

    i went to my local pawn shop and picked up a slim with 3.3.5 heaps easier

    firmware it is on there should be ps3 still out there if you hunt around

    and as for downgrade you cant downgrade any console it only the console that has been on 3.55 or lower you can
    you cant downgrade if it came out factory 3.56+ or you will brick
