Default Need help unbricking my ps3

I was playing games using rogero manager with the game disc Batman Arkham City inside the ps3 to let it recognize a disc (was playing street fighter 4 arcade edition).
I turned my ps3 off and then on again.
When turned on, I got a "file system" error and it had to reinstall the firmware (was on 3.55 kmeaw) but everytime it went up to 99% it froze (I left it on for days to see if it would get to 100).
I managed to get my old hdd working, installing official 3.55.
I tried downgrading to 3.41 using a dongle and from the factory service mode.

I DID SOMETHING VERY STUPID AT THE FOLLOWING STEP

I followed the steps from a tutorial and I shut down my ps3.
When turning back on, the firmware on my usb drive should have installed itself automatically. It did not.
Instead it went to the normal ps3 menu (still in factory mode).
So I didn't read any warnings and tried to install 3.41 from the Update System menu.
The ps3 turned off after a while and then back on and I got a Red Screen of Death.

Everytime I turned my ps3 on, the firmware update started automatically and led to the RSoD.
So I did something stupid again, I took out the hdd and formatted it my pc so that I could get to recovery menu (that trick worked before when I had the update stuck at 99% problem).

Now everytime I turn on my ps3, nothing shows up and it turns off again after a few seconds.
I can't get in recovery mode, my ps3 is bricked, last time it worked it was in factory service mode.
Last working firmware was official 3.55.

How do I get out of this mess.

PS: I have an E3cardreader, 2 hdd to try, Fat ps3 model CECHH01

if you can't get to the recovery menu, you will need to buy a flasher. it shouldn't be that bad if you have a slim.
but almost impossible to install on a fat.
the upside is, if you can install a flasher you can downgrade as you please (with a different hard drive)

Is there really no other way? Because I've seen stuff on the internet saying there's a way to do it the blind way.

If nothing else can fix it, would this help? : http://www.modchipcentral.com/store/...cat=256&page=1

I"m guessing your PS3 came with a FW higher than 3.41 on it. and that bricked it.
I will just recommend the E3 flasher. if you want to have OFW on the same console you could get another hard drive to go back and forth.

you will need to solder it onto the motherboard (it's guided though) or get the accompanying NOR clip.

    OOOOOOH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

I unbricked it the blind way !!! I used my hacked psp with Ps3jig

I installed the app on my psp, opened my psp and launched the app.
I plugged my psp with the usb cable on the 2nd port of my ps3.
I flipped the switch on in the back of my ps3 and I put it on.
New text appeared on the app of my psp and then it said something complete.
The ps3 shut down on itself.
I put Lv2diag.self from File2 (the one to get back out of factory/service mode) on the root of a usb stick.
I put the USB stick in my 2nd port of the ps3 and I turned it on.

And there I am right now, the text is back on screen, asking me to plug the controller with the usb cable and I'm installing the firmware.

    AAAaaaaand, firmware is installed now

    Yeah I guess I am :D
I'm leaving the steps there because other sites are kind of inaccurate about every details (and every detail really counts).
