Thread: True Blue (aka) JB2 - Answers Recent Rumors !!!!!!

Recently we have been made aware of several announcements made on various forums from people who seek to trivialise the capabilities of True Blue and claim that functionality such as playing 3.6+ games can easily be reproduced on regular custom firmware (CFW).

In each and every case, the announcements amount to nothing more than baseless accusations and disinformation - these people are intentionally spreading information they know to be incorrect in an attempt to create confusion. A lot of effort and research has gone into the creation of True Blue, which has allowed us to take our position as the ONLY team producing any real results, providing solid support and benefits for our customers. For all the people who have claimed that what True Blue does is trivial and can be easily duplicated, there has been absolutely nothing that has come from any of these peopole, they have simply been all talk and have delivered nothing of real value.

The proof is in the result and at the end of the day, with all the claims that have been made by other groups, the fact remains that the True Blue team are the only ones who have actually delivered.

Yeah, but their releases have been stagnent for a while now. Havent seen any new releases since before Christmas actually, or am i wrong?

Seems they put out this PR type messages as soon as owners start moaning about support and releases from what I have seen in the crunchy site. It would appear their source for eboots are drying up, so they have to defend their position over and over again.

They have their holidays, so they probably will release a bunch of new eboots in the end of January(thank gods, exactly after my exam session ends).
And they're right, they're the only ones who have actually delivered, not just boasted about being able.
For 60$, but the games actually work.

c'mon....no one saw this coming??? If I knew my time was up soon I would deny all accusations, also!!! Besides, did anyone notice they sure released a large statement for having said absolutely nothing?!?!?!

the fact that people still support these scamming retards makes me sick to my stomach....let's not even get into the fact that there are major ps3 scene news outlets backing this garbage!!! *cough*ps3crunch*cough* Their time is up. They haven't advanced the scene any, people are starting to discover their secrets, and they are running scared. This is a great position for us to have them in. Now it's just a matter of time before they slip up. I hope they do release a new cfw...and I also hope they are in such a rush to get it out they make a careless mistake and their time comes to an abrupt end....it's just a matter of time.

they're right...no matter what the other ps3 "devs" say about true blue, the true blue team is the ONLY one who has delivered on what they said. how often did the developers say that a new cfw was coming out? more times than i can count and i'm tired of waiting. true blue is awesome!!!

was this message from TB team. if it was why would they even care about posting this? looks like they're pretty scared right now

Some people may not realise, but I don't think even modified .sprx files will make our 3.55 consoles play games without "special" eboots, since TB eboots are some way special for sure(afaik).
And if their eboots become playable without TB, they may not ever release anything new, which is quite a disaster.
I prefer playing new games, with a little waiting for fixes, than not getting new games at all(aside from those I buy).

no, it won't run without "their eboots" (which we all know are simply official debug eboots)....this is the whole problem. TB is only capable of running new games with debug eboots. Debug eboots are now under lock & key, and can only be acquired directly from sony, and only if they give you access, personally. The few games that do run on TB are vulnerable to updates, just like always, and the games that aren't running on TB yet are that way because no one has access to the eboots.

This is why I always say TB is such a bad thing. Not only do they charge you for their POS drm dongle (which can be cloned to run from standard cfw for free) but they have also stolen sony's debug eboots. They've brought sony's attention back to the scene. If we can stay out of their radar we can get by without any (or very little) interference....if we have people constantly breaking into their servers or coercing sony employees to hand out the eboots, then we are going to remain on their radar and they are going to continue their battle against us.

there are two things we do not want the scene to be involved in if we want to stay out of sony's line of sight: psn (they do NOT want us on psn, and every time we get access, they retaliate, guns blazing) and any theft of official sony files. These are their biggest concerns, and every single time either of these happen,m sony knows about it right away, and they retaliate with every ounce of energy they can get. Avoid this, and the ps3 scene will slip by unnoticed forever, IMHO
