In my hazie drug induced day dreams I have acquired super coding skills and I would like to share with you my imaginary ps3 apps.

Ok so for imaginary app 1:

PS-Cheat-App.pkg

This app looks simple, all it will display is the title of the game the cheats are for, a picture of that game and a description. The description of the cheats would include things like size, if a patch is used and what version, obviously the description of what the cheat actually does, and the title ID bles/blus etc.

All right so how this will work will be...... the cheat files will be stored within the app directories, this way all cheats can be packaged into pkg's and installed the usual way, this will eliminate the need to transfer files manually.

When we look at the cheats already available in the download section we can see there are 3 ways the cheats are applied.

Type 1 - game files are modified - the app will scan for the usual place of where your games are stored, dev_usb/games/blesXXXX/etc.

Type 2 - install/patch data is modified - scan to dev_hdd/game/XXXXX.

Type 3 - psn install style - this type of cheat, you have to install a pkg then move the game files into that directory and start game from xmb. The app will scan for the relative directory, if it don't find the directory it will error and tell you to install the needed pkg.

Once the app finds the right game directory for the cheat you want to apply, it will just replace the files with the ones needed for the cheats but also a very important feature will be the apps ability to auto backup and delete the original files, this way you will be able to install and un-install the cheats at will.

A side note on this app..... I know there's some people out there that think its against nature and against gods will to cheat on computer games, if you are one of these people please just keep it shut, if you don't like my imaginary cheat app then just move along.


Ok imaginary app 2.

Pkg-Manager/viewer-pkg

Another simple app it will give you the title of the pkg, a few pictures of the game cover and maybe a couple game-play pictures. A description which would include things like size, the amount of players, a description of the game etc.

It would use the same method as multiman does to install pkg's, you select the pkg to be installed, it will then kick you back to xmb and install. I dont know if its possible but hopefully this app can install multiple pkg's one after the other for the games with multiple pkg's.

What would your imaginary super coding skills create, try and make them realistic. We don't want to hear how your app makes lara croft come out of the tv and do unspeakable things to you. And don't include the obvious, working ps1/ps2/psp games or emu's or new games working or 360/wii games etc. REALISTIC things.

A note for the simple, these apps are NOT real they are imaginary and until I can afford to make a evolutionary biological cross over cable that's how they will remain. I will take donations for this cable and when I reach £10,000,000,000 and 50 years into the future I will create many amazing apps for you to enjoy.
