A friend from work hooked me up with his old 80gb fat ps3 that he says he doesn't need anymore because he got a brand new one. I took him home to check the firmware and just my luck... 3.55! As far as I've always known, 80gbs were one of the last ones that were backwards compatible, but it was done through something like emulation. i know there was something you needed to download through PSN to get it to work, but with psn being out of reach, is there a way I can download it offline and get it to work? or better yet, is there a backup manager that will allow me to read ps2 isos from an internal or external drive? I know there was a ps2 launcher that was released a while ago, not sure if that would work though. this is my first time owning a backwards compatible system so i'm really not sure. just looking for some info.
