Thread: How do I fix the Red Screen Of Death after using 3.55 rebug selector

Hello all,

I am currently running 3.55 rebug pn my ps3. The problem is, is that i was using the
3.55 rebug selector and turned on of the settings to rebug mode (I know stupid lol)
any way now it shows the RSOD and I can't recover it even in the recovery mode.

Things ive Tried

Removing the Hard Drive
Removing the Plug from the Mains
Going to recovery mode and trying Format to Factory Settings
Going to recovery mode and trying rebuild system
Going to recovery mode and trying to re format the whole thing
Going to recovery mode and trying to install original 3.55. The problem with this is
I downloaded the Official 3.55 and then putting it in a folder PS3/UPDATE and the
ps3 says it can not find no updates? Ive tried a portable hard drive and my psp
it says the same.

I know there is a fix because I can still get to the recovery mode (the system must
be Semi-bricked)

If any one can help it will be much appreciated

i had this problem dude what i did was go into recovery mode and install kmeaw cfw then i put rebug on there it fixed it i thought i screwed up aswell. Hope that helps. does the update itsef spelled right PS3UPDAT.PUP
