Default how to clean your ps3?

i wonder, if you go back to ofw, is there a possibility to access your hdd-files?

or do you have to delete all the games before you put on the ofw through multiman...?

if your OFW is 3.55 or below, you have multiman access. else, the only way to clean them is to format your entire HDD

my ofw then will be 4.x of course. the question is if this fw have some file manager?

or can you even access the ps3 from outside?

and of course i wonīt format it, i only want to have the possibility to delete obsolete games that are not longer playable or just to keep them if some cfw 4.x arrives

umm...you get your ps3 as "clean" as a retail unit after formatting the hard drive?
I mean, when you have the hack, aren't there also files stored elsewhere aside from hd like flash memory or wherever the fw may be installed?

i donīt care on some files, itīs a 1tb hdd. but i care on all those 20 gig games. if i canīt use them anymore itīs better to have some free space for music etc

You can access this with Linux. For some reasons windows wont recognize my disk!!
And for your other question I think so you can play those hacked psn games as long as you dont log into psn servers. If you log in Sony could easily find out you are using a cracked game!!
Psn games are easily deletable on any ofw!!!

I wasn't aware of that...I just assumed it could do it on OOS because it was partitioned alongside gameOS. This would be easiest by just popping it in your desktop and fire it up with a live ubuntu disk....and yes, you can use a notebook hard drive with a desktop. The sata & power connections are universal.

Lol, when i saw the topic i wanted to answer "Not with a hosepipe" :D

But on going to OFW - i had one with MM on. I deleted all data (apart from game saves), and used the ninja tool to wipe my full history, reflashed 3.55 OFW - then upgraded. That specific console has been running for over a year now and no emails or bans etc. Personally I think they were only concerned about it when people went on PSN.

My CFW ones still happily run, and i play lan with them sometimes on MW2 with the kids - me on the cfw kids on the OFW.
