Thread: Hacked PS3 questions

I will be buying a used hacked PS3 from my friend and was wondering:
1)Will I get banned if I play online with a hacked game or is it even possible to play online with a hacked ps3?
2)Will I get banned if I just sign on and play offline?
3)Will the bans be permanent account ban or ip?
4)Is there a way to play free games online without getting caught?

You can not even sign into PSN so most of what you asked is moot, and so far SONY has not banned anyone for previously having a CFW console and then going legit. From what I have seen they seem to only bother banning cheaters. Also I would think the ban would be account based and not console based like the 360 does it.

nope, their is no way to play online until a new cfw comes out whenever that may be...

you cant use psn on a hacked ps3. although you can use ps store on a ps3 without psn id on rebug

what???? I haven't heard of this being true for over 6 months
