Thread: "jut when i thought i was out, they pull me back in!"

Hail to all of you vikings of the interwebic-gaming seas,
i don't like sayin' 'nerds' or 'gamers', so i call us VIKINGS instead...

So, there i was minding my own viking business at the early beginnin of 2011, all of the geohot buzz.. yup, i was there, me and my flying pegasus-unicorn pet...
i was very update in every new homebrew, every new CFW, every new psn spoofer, etc.. then, i got some new big clients and my business took all my time for viking around away. . . they even shaved my red-thick-beard and my dreaded armpit dreads...

anyway, almost a whole year later here i am... i know absolutely nothing about what's going on in the viking 'scene', and was hoping one of u 'TROVADORS' could sing me the news in a quick update so i can pull my viking **** togheter and get back to what really matters!

i'll give some topics up for debating become more fast and furious;

1 - i'm still in 3.55 kmeaw, is there any new CFW above going on that i don't know of?

2 - a friend in work, knowing i was going back to my ps3, gave me a TRUEBLUE dongle, is that really necessary?! why and what for?! (spoofing?!)
2.1 - if really necessary; any tips on tutorials on how to use this? i saw some people using an infamous rw-BR disc, i only got the dongle thou.. am i missing something?

3 - another friend at work, knowing of my viking life, gave me a slim PS3 on 3.6 for trying jailbreaking... i didnt promiss anything, knowing i'm outdated on the info, but it's here... any downgrade availabre without hardware mods out yet?!

4 - viking-brothers, new game indications for me?! i've been out for a year... already got myself SKYRIM, PES2012, AC-3 ... whatelse is good and recently out?!

well, that should do it for a crabload (viking slang) of talking around here...

so i'll be waiting on any input from u honorable vikings...

There is nothing that new, 3.55 is the latest that will play backup's (publicly anyway)

there are just new game fixes and true blue ect..

Well because you've already got the True Blue dongle your all ready and set up to enjoy your ps3 to the full potential. xD
Anyway. What the True Blue dongle of yours does is let you play most of the latest games on your jailbroken ps3 3.55. Games such as SKyrim, AC R, Dark Souls, MW3 and so on, search on this forum on how to set up your dongle.
First of all gain the TB CFW file or the Rebug TB CFW file either one is fine,
Then go to the True Blue website and obtain a copy of the files True Blue Update 2.4 from www . trueblue . com
and then download one of the patched games that are compatible with True Blue and copy of the Patched True Blue Eboots and Param.sfo files and copy them into your game.
Then transfer it to your ps3.
Done.

one question; TB only runs from HDD, external is no option?!

External HDD works, that's how I play games with TB dongle. Some games have internal/external HDD fixes for the dongle, such as Skyrim or AC revelations, some are only available as BD-R copy discs such as Resistance 3, FIFA 2012 and Batman Arkham City, those copies cost around 11 usb without shipping, you can find them at Lighttake.com, sucks but we all knew TB team were in it for the money.

Good news is that there are people at a different website (PS3Crunch) trying to make a tutorial for people to make their own BD-R copies for games such as Arkham City and Resistance 3 for TB dongle but nothing has been posted yet.
