Default backing up a game from original disc, will make it work??

    Hello,

I am just wondering if you buy an original game and back it up to your external, will that make it launch from multiman without the need of original disc???

Welll, because, I once (one year ago) bought NRL Live and backed it up to hard disk and it worked. Hence, that game was not available to CFW 3.55 at that time yet. This method will only make it work if you rip it off from original disc only (no downloads no sharings)

So, i have the TB dongle now, if I (for example) rip off ORIGINAL DISC PES2012 to my hard disk, will that make it actuall launch from multiman???

    Thank You.

No. The eboot will still require a certain firmware requirement. Meaning, if you're on 3.55CFW and the game requires lets say 3.7? You still won't be able to run it. There's no way around the fact. Ripped from the disc or not.

you can rip every game that fitīs your fw-number. every outdated wonīt work (but this is quite very very very obvious). for tb you need (guess what) an eboot.

what do you think the downloaded games are? the downloaded games are games that other people have ripped from originals so it's exactly the same thing...

I dont know, im confused. Can anyone explain what i just said before, when i ripped NRL Live off original disc to my external, and then i was able to play it from multiman without the need of original disc. And no i did not replace any eboot or param.

By the way, When it worked, i came to this forum and uploaded the game. And said, hey guys this game is working, i tested it on my console. And all replies were negative and everyone said no it's not working. How come it was working on my console and at the same time can't be played by others when downloaded my files.

You can find my post. it's very old. here it is anyway. http://www.ps3iso.com/ps3-game-downl...ague-play.html

itīs not very hard to understand that a game backupped within fw requirements is playing. maybe your rip had failures when you uploaded it, thats a very good explanation for why it wasnīt working on others.

and if you still donīt know what tb is for, go to the tutorial section, because i donīt know how to explain this in more easier words.

Well, you must know that game was not working at that time and was not in ps3 comptability list. So, still a clue.

I know what is TB, i didn't ask a question about it individually. I was just saying if the above statement is applicable to TB.

Thanks for your reply anyway. This is just a chat and im not try to proof anything.

The guys above explained everything very well.

I get where the idea is coming from, but it will absolutely not work. TB doesn't work that way. Every TB-compatible game is patched to function. If that weren't the case, people wouldn't be constantly begging the TB team to release fixes; they would simply download any rip and play it immediately.

The PS3 compatibility list was being contributed to by everyone in the community, so you would constantly run into false/contradicting reports. Also, the rugby game doesn't appear to be incredibly popular, so if you mean that it wasn't in the list at all, that could be why.

Basically, what everyone is trying to say is this: Your experience with this NRL game has absolutely nothing to do with the TB device and its methods - at all. PES2012 will not work with your idea, so save yourself the trouble and money.

I think this thread needs to be closed...the OP just isn't listening to reason. TB has NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR OLD AS DIRT GAME!!!!!!!!!!!! YOUR EXPERIENCE FROM THIS TIME LAST YEAR IS COMPARABLE TO DINOSAUR AGES IN GAME CONSOLE TERMS!!!!

Things move quickly, and you can't even expect something that works today to still work tomorrow. that's just the nature of the beast.
