I say wait for the PS4. PS3 is overrated. No good games on it. All the reviews that you read about games like GTA4, UC1, 2 & 3, Little Big Planet, Ratchet and Clank, Killzone, Resistance, GT5, Demon Souls, all those reviewers that gave those games 9 and 10/10, they lied. Don't waste your time, wait for the PS4 and in the meantime, read a good book.*

What's the point in waiting for something that's not even announced yet?

I don't think you should wait for ps4, ps3 is not overrated. It has great titles, people think it's overrated because of the cinematic gameplay experiences (which you may call "quick time events"). But we have to admit this is what next-gen gaming goiğng to be like. But don't worry, having a ps3 also let's you play ps2 games (ps2 classics on psn), ps1 games (ps1 classics on psn) and even psp games (just like the ones before from psn). Then again it's your choice to make, All I can do is give you altarnate options depending on your expectations. But, it will take a very long time for ps4 to come out at least 2 years if you ask me (of course I'm not an analyst, this might not be true), but even if sony releases a next-gen console they won't stop making good games for ps3 like 2 years.

xbox 360 fully hackeable,Reset Glitch,CFW,ODDE x360key everything plays great,ps3 on 3.55 cfw has a lot of games to play but new games wont work as u know but if you ar ps fan then go for it,i have both ps3 and xbox360 im love games not a big fan of any of the 2 consoles just like to play games alot.i use xbox360 most cuz all the games working,ps3 for exculisive titles.But dont wait for anything bro life is short enjoy playing and whatever u like

I'd recommend staying well clear of anything Sony, Their TERMS OF SERVICE AGREEMENTS are ridiculous and insulting to anyone with at least half a brain and morals.
Oh and Sony has on a number of occasions released faulty firmware updates that caused problems for many people.
Sony has also broken the law in the past, Its done things like use rootkits to spy on people and obtain information, Its violated consumer laws by removing important functions from the ps3 such as the install os option.
Sony also keeps changing their TERMS OF SERVICE AGREEMENTS as they see fit, This could be and is a big issue for some people.

If you buy a ps3 accepting their TERMS OF SERVICE AGREEMENT at the time of purchase, You can fully use the ps3 and services.
But later if you decide you don't agree with the new TERMS OF SERVICE that they want to introduce you're left with an extremely limited console.
You wouldn't be able to play any new games, You would only be able to play games upto whatever firmware you would be stuck on.
You wouldn't be able to play any new bluray movies, You would only be able to play bluray movies upto whatever firmware you would be stuck on.
You wouldn't be able to play online games.
You wouldn't be able to re-download anything you purchased from the playstation store, Oh and you wouldn't even own the things you paid for, You only rent them now!.
You wouldn't be able to use any of Sony's services.
