Cool My PS3 jailbreaking/hacking history is 1 year old!

I live in Lebanon. I got my PS3 Slim 250 GB on christmas 2009. On November, I saw the PSJailbreak and PSBreak jailbreaks on youtube, so I went to search for those dongles but didn't find in my country.
On December 31, 2010, I found a place that sell the Amaze Break dongle which is a clone for PSJailbreak. So I decided to do it. I paid 160$ for the Amaze Break(40$), a downgrade from 3.50 to 3.41 (40$), and a black ops disc (before I found the Amaze Break) (80$). I liked the jailbreak a lot so I uploaded a video of me using it with Rogero Manager with tutorial!

On January 15, 2011, I realized the a CFW called Kmeaw was released that doesn't need a dongle, and my friend got a black ops disc.
What does this mean? It means I paid 160$ for nothing :eviltongue: I could have waited a couple of weeks and installed the CFW without buying that dongle, and I would have borrowed the black ops disc from my friend and copied it to my PS3 instead of buying it.

On February 5, 2011, I found out that the DNS trick that allows you to bypass the update 3.56 So it worked and I uploaded a vid to youtube, and created the thread here on PS3ISO that reached over 40,000 views!

On February 23, 2011, here comes the illegal but cool part. I took advantage of Rogero manager and made my OWN backup Manager and OWN coldboot!

On February 26, 2011, I downloaded the SNES emulator for PS3, and I loved it so much that I downloaded hundreds of roms. I'm a huge NBA fan, so I downloaded NBA Live 97 for SNES to emulate and it worked! A HUGE difference in 10 years lol! :D

On March 7, 2011, when f***psn was released for PC, and the DNS trick was fixed by Sony a long time ago, it was awesome how I could go online by spoofing 3.56 and connecting it to my laptop then to my router for internet! lol!!

On March 11, 2011, 3.60 was released and going online was easier. A very strong spoof for 3.60 was released allowing us to go online without a pc!

On April 25, 2011, when DOSBOX was released for PS3, I booted Windows 95 on PS3!! It was amazing.

After those months, in April Sony fixed every way for going online, then TEAM REBUG created the best CFW 3.55.1 for PS3 to go online and make a fake credit card and buy stuff for free from PSN Store. No, I didn't use that cause my internet was limited 3GB per month(Lebanon...) and my average speed was like 25 KB/s :eviltongue:. Unfortunately I didn't make a video for that lol.
Than on my FIRST day of Easter vacation PSN was shutdown cause of some attack for their servers :( therefore stopping online for Rebug users and normal users. I thought it was gonna be an awesome vacation full of online black ops, but it wasn't. When PSN was back, that was the last time I played PSN on Rebug or on any CFW.

On July 7, 2011, Rebug CFW 3.55.2 was released. I installed it but nothing was new, so again I didn't upload any video :(

And ever since that day (summer) we've all been waiting for a new CFW, fixed eboot for 3.60+ games, and going online, but we got nothing.

On October 9, 2011, when Deank (creator of MultiMan) released something called DiscBoot, which allowed playing copied games on DVDs or BluRay, I was amazed. I tried 2 games: Burnout Paradise(3GB) and WipEout HD Fury (2GB) on 2 normal DVDs, and it worked!!

On November 2011, 2 fixes by team Duplex were released which were Uncharted 3 and Battlefield 3 :D

On December 6, 2011, Kakaroto confirmed his jailbreak working on version 4.00 but it doesn't load backup managers. So nothing changed.

And today, back to December 31, but now 2011, my jailbreak/hacking history is 1 year old. A lot of things happened this year, some of them were good, others were bad, but it was one hell of a year.

    Peace.

Yes. Early 2011 was an exciting time! I wonder if Sony security really advanced that much with 3.6+, or if Sony's lawyers are just intimidating? :thefinger:

good to read its remember my old noob days I was also a victim of Jailbreak Dungle. I buy PS3 550$ Plus in Pakistan with Jail Break and one demo disk, its too costly but soon with the help of Coldmine I able to install kmeaw with lot of difficulties,

once I understand PS3 and CFW, I starting helping others like Coldmine helped me out.

+rep this thread remind me lot of things.
