Thread: Noobie question: How to apply an Eboot fix?

I am confused guys. I am new to the scene (my ps3 laser died and it was lying around for a looong time).. I'd like to know what to do with the Eboot and Param files.. Would you please provide a link for me to read? Thanks a lot in advance for your understanding...

its quite simple m8 you just replace the files in the game directory .eg...bles01234..usually (eboot/param.sfo)...with the files from the fix ...overwriting the old files...its as simple as that

its like you're applying crack for pc games. just copy and replace the eboot and param like you do with windows exe files

This is all assuming he has a PS3 running a cfw that is. If not then if you are at 3.55 or below then upgrade to 3.55 OFW and then run your flavor of cfw, me I use Rebug, but Kmeaw is also great. If you are above 3.55, then I am sorry to say you are out of luck for now, and can't use any ftp or file explorer software to make changes to the ps3's file structure.

Thanks for the replies. I run 3.55 Kmeaw and am able to play some backups..

Looking at a working game's files I see that the folder for the PARAM.FSO is \PS3_GAME directory.. and for EBOOT.BIN it is \PS3_GAME\USRDIR directory..

Are these the correct folders to use?
