Thread: Update PS3 to 4.00 OFW or stay on 3.55 CFW?

    Exclamation Update PS3 to 4.00 OFW or stay on 3.55 CFW?

    I been waiting for new jailbreak for so long time and been following ps3 updates from KaKaRoTo or the others but nothing has been done until now..
    but one of KaKaRoTo Threads says that he confirms that his jailbreak works on firmware 4.00!

    so i was thinking shall I update my PS3 to 4.00 ofw and stay on it so at least I can play some of the new games or shall I wait a little bet longer on 3.55 CFW? (advice me please)

    im staying in kmeaw 3.55 until something safe and tested has come out, i would advice you do the same.

    PS3: Slim 160GB CFW: 3.55 Rebug

    I am staying on 3.55 but you should TOTALLY update to OFW 4.0. Yeah, totally.

    I for long time didn't want update wasn't enjoying my ps3 anymore
    Single player got boring didn't see any hack coming soon and I updated my ps3 and beening enjoying it since
    This past month has be very fun because I updated
    But that's just me

    This is really up to you..

    if u wanna play online + some new games then update to 4.00 (P.S u'll have to pay some amount of money along the road )

    if u don't care about the above and u care only about spending money then stay on CFW

    You should definitely update to 4.0!

    as I've said before, u might as well buy a 360, flash or rest glitch the system, then have 99% of the ps3's library for free. ur ps3 can basically sit until a new cfw is released for exclusives. it really seems like the most prudent choice.
