Thread: I've offered a donation to the ps3 scene

I have noticed that there is still no N64 emu for PS3, and I know from prior experience in the Wii scene that it's a very difficult console to emulate. I have no idea where the difficulty lies, but I thought since I've got this N64 dev console sitting here collecting dust I'd offer it up for the sake of development

I contacted Squarepusher a few days ago about selling it (yes, I expect payment for it, same as the guy who gave it to me :D) I know things may be a bit rocky right now with donations, etc, but I think most people here know who I am and that I'm a pretty stand-up guy. I haven't heard back from him yet and I have a feeling it's because I'm an unknown with the ps3 DEV scene....I can't blame him for not trusting an unknown person at a time like this.

The reason I'm writing this is to ask all who are interested in an N64 emu for ps3 to write Squarepusher and ask him what his intensions are with regards to this topic, and to let him know that the offer is on the table, and I'm really a legitimate dude who only wants to help, not scam

Help me help you, please Please write Squarepusher and urge him to get crackin' on the emu!!

Just a simple question, if you want a N64 emulator, but you already got the console..what the point? Unless of course you want to share the knowledge so other ppl can benefit from it, which I think is your objective, and in that case, I support this. Sadly, as you said, I too am a lurker on the scene, so...not much to say here lol

yup...it's not that I need an emu...like you said, I can already play every single n64 game on backup disk. I just am not using it, and I thought it could benefit a scene that lacks the emu Why let it sit & collect dust if it can be used for a better cause?

Maybe it's good idea.. If lots of people here wants the emu tho,, but i still think it's good idea lighyear,.. Cheers for that.

Quite noble indeed, i would support a lightyear-squarepusher team 100% :D

not to mess uo your good times, but I don't see why wii64 can't be ported over as I've seen demos of code engines that have been ported.
