Thread: What advantages does a 60gb ps3 have

hi i just got me a 60gb ps3 cos i needed psn, just wnted to know if there any advantages, i heard it is backwards compatible (whatever that is
)


like could i downgrade it cos i got my slim on cfw and wanted to swap

it works with ps2 games. also it supports usb 3.0 drives without using a hub

it has 4 usb ports and its easier to replace the internal hard drive. it also looks nicer to me because of the shiny paint and the Playstation 3 logo with spider-man letters, well probably looks aren't an advantage lol

ps2 game compatibility along with extra ports nothing else really i see as a difference.

Best feature everyone failed to mention: YLOD!! lol jk tho they are the units more likely to get it

But yeah just PS2 BC and 2 extra USB ports. That's all you'll have.

thats funny, cos mine is still goin since day 1 lol, the fans loud as mofo n had to replace the laser twice cos of MW2 (both times, wierd I know).

I was always led to believe it was made from higher quality materials and slowly but surely sony have decided to take things away from us (linux/BC), including the materials used?

that's because it cost a fortune to make($800 at launch) and they wanted to stop it losing them so much money.

yeah I realize that but I especially feel cheated, I got jack **** compo from them for taking linux away and I paid stupid money for it..... Anyways I hope they learnt some valuable lessons from it for ps4.
