Thread: Whos runing LA Noire from external without problems with cutcens and speech?

Thought id start this thread to determine how many ppl have this running from ext without problems, if u have, leave your reply with how u did it and what MM settings u have on it plz

i have mine on external, used lightyears fix for the USA version, everything works great,
i also used split4g to split the big file since it was made by dean who created multiman
the only problem i had was paused the game for 5min and when i came back it frooze, besides that everything works great

Really? No problem with blank texts etc? PPL say it doesn't work correct on external.

Can u post that fix plz and the link to that split4g program?

Do I have to merge those splitted File or does it work with splitted File with MultiMan?

i used split4g also on usa version, skips all cutscenes and talking, worked fine on internal, but ive deleted it now, starting again!, moved original game file from comp back to ext hdd, copied the big sound file back in, installed patch pkg from lightyear thread. Im not swapping the param.sfo this time with one with patch, gonna let MM do it, made sure its on Hermes, also ive checked BD mirror while installing the 14 gb game data, and will uncheck it before starting game, it then installs another 1gb+ off data, so i hope this works, il come back and let ppl knw

* i left the original param.sfo in on usa version, tried to let multiman sort it but got an error has occured on game start, also LA noire file on ext hdd split and part of it came out of gamez folder, and i lost all my icon pictures on xmb in games section, moved the files back in, replaced the param. with patch one, it loaded....BUT NO CUTSCENES lol

The reason it may be freezing on you when paused, is the hdd may be going to sleep, check your hdd settings and change the value to 30 mins. or to never. I know this because I have a Maxtor 500gb hooked up to my wii which would freeze when I would pause and leave the room for a couple of mins.

Don't hijack someones thread like this, you want a fix request it in the proper section, and there is no 3.41 fix at the moment

Lightyear used silenthunters usa version, his is working fine from ext apart from game pause problem, ive tried everything now, we even checked same MD5 check and its same copy exact match code

I have it running external but it does cache 14gigs onto internal though. I tried to load a video of it through my phone to YouTube but didnt go through. I will post my settings and method when I get home plus upload my video. I'm planning to upgrade my internal since cache files isn't saving much space internally.

I want to put files > 4gb into Internal and files < 4gb into external. What do I have to do?
