Thread: Rumor: Sony Recruiting PS3 Hackers to Combat Console Piracy

A few weeks back Sony was reported hiring IP investigators as part of forming a PS3 anti-piracy program, and today Dutch site PSX-Sense reports that they may also be recruiting PlayStation 3 hackers as well.

According to rumor, Sarah McRae contacted Koushik Dutta regarding a Software Engineer position that is opening at SCEA.

To quote, roughly translated: Something we wouldn't expect from Sony; they are recruiting hackers for a job at SCEA. A hacker named Koush got an e-mail, which is 100% real, from Sarah McRae which works onsite at the Talent Acquisition department.

He had been asked for a job at the R&D Departmen at Sony, we're sure Koushik isn't the only hacker which has been contacted by Sony. As a proof Koush posted a screenshot of the e-mail.

haha..sony is full of it.. its simple, if government computers can be hacked then ps3 was bound to be cracked

I bet hackers are standing in line waiting to work for SCEA! Heck, Geohot already has his Sony uniform on waiting for the court battle to end! LOL!

if this is real, that guy turned down a job at sony? talk about loyalty to the ps3 scene!

So is it a big deal? if hacker can protect it than another hacker can break it.

Fake or not (obviously fake) this IS NOT news this is a rumor.

it is fake, there is no such thing such as an email @playstation.sony.com, check your emails from sony and they dont use such email addresses, no such domain exists, dont believe me google it and nothing comes up

still i hate the bs is news, where or where can i find news without bs rumours especially when it is an obvious fake
