Thread: PS3 backups: EU vs US backups...the difference?

The title pretty much is my question. There are backups of the same games in some threads where the have both a US (American) and a EU (European I guess) version. What is the difference? thanks

Well there are some differences,like ill mention one in Arkham Asylum the instruction booklet is colored while on the other hand the eu version has black and white ,there maybe small differences and occasionally some bonus stuff in 1 version.

Some EUR versions may also contain other languages than English making the download much larger too.

If you dont have a HD tv it may display in black and white (pal ntsc incompatibility) but I think most HD tv's support both pal and ntsc.

As for languages some don't contain English most will state if not containing English, if you can view the nfo file it will tell you in the languages, if you look on abgx dot net theres a list of releases if you find the matching release i.e. DUPLEX it has the nfo files for it and you can check.

Yes, because the EUROPE has a English Speakers (only few speaks Spanish or other patriot language) too.

No way, people in Europe can speak english?


kidding...lol I just thought that the EU releases were mainly targeted for foreign languages like italian/german/french etc...

i play a lot of eu games on sd or hd and this is not true eu retail games work and are not blk and white on sd or hd i only have issues with tekken 5 dr which is a psn title i get a video error on my sdtv and it plays on my hd tv

the gran turismo 5 game was much smaller in size(pal) thats why i downloaded pal instead of ntsc

if you buy dlc for euro, and the back up is usa/ntsc your dlc wont work.
