Thread: PS3's New Update 3.30 = RETARDED BULL****!!!

i just got lost planet 2 and i heard there was a monster hunter skin that just came out to download this month and last night i went to get that puppy because im a huge MH fan thought whats cooler then playing a video game that was heavily influenced on MH, so i went online and it said i needed a new update and knowing Sony's last issue with that update that deleted everyones saved data and their trophies so i figured to play it safe and look up the newest update and here is what i found

• PS3 no longer turns on
  PS3 Blue Ray quits reading games and movies
  PS3 controllers wont sync up to console
  PS3 Trophies are there but cant view them
  PS3 PSN wont connect anymore
  PS3 can no longer view trophies in the middle of a game
  PS3 chat will sometimes put friends names in the wrong catagory
  PS3 either freezes when being turned on or an hour into gameplay
  PS3 turns on for a short while before shutting down
  PS3 does not turn on and power light blinks while making beeping sounds

and here is the good things about this new update

• PS3 trophies now can be sorted to how you like them
  PS3 trophies that say ??? are now called "Hidden Trophies"
  PS3 will be updated to play the newest games

well there you have it take your pick on what you think is best for your ps3 at this current time with the new update

if any of you have had problems worse then these post them so we all can be aware of Sony's backstabbing way to squeeze more money out of us by screwing with our updates forcing us to buy a new system

Actually a newer update 3.40 is due to be released on 06-29-10.

Yes, and that new firmware better fix all that freezing while in game and online. Freakin sucks, i cant even enjoy MW2 for a good 1 min. if i play online. >;[

Me and my son have both updated our systems to 3.30, and I can honestly say with my hand on my heart, that we have had no trouble with it, I play mine for hours on end(Assassin's Creed 2, Ghostbusters etc) and my son plays MW2 online till he falls asleep at the sticks...

yes you arent the only one, from all the forums i visited including Sony's forum on ps3's there have been about 30% of the time people saying they've had no troubles with this update but thats about it and with that its not enough for me to download this update

plus it depends on your hard drive, blue ray laser, and the model you have. if you have the 60 gig PS3 you have a good chance of almost all updates not failing due to the 60 gig at the time was the top of the line best parts on the market for the PS3's where the 80 gig was the after market parts where they took away and the Slim PS3's are the same after market with lighter parts so its a good chance alot of PS3's out there fail with these latest updates

but congrats to your PS3 working hope one day i can go online and meet ya there :D

well thats because the 120gb slim is like the 60 for the fat its the best for their ps3's
