    Wink Buying a hackable new PS3? (not superslim)

    I'm planning on buying a new 250 gb slim from amazon, but am still a little hesistant because I got a slim ps3 with 3.60 stock which I sold off. I've done some research and it seems like the only jailbreakable ps3's buyable online are deadstock 250 gb slims, obviously not the super slims. I've checked on the ps3 dev wiki sku page, and it seems like the highest reported firmware on these things was 3.40 stock.


    Can anybody report the stock firmware on a new untouched 250gb ps3 slim (2000 model) purchased within the last 6 months - year?

    EDIT: UPDATE Hey guys I just got my new 250 gb ps3 delivered from amazon (urban buckle shop) and it had 3.21 on it! YES! Thanks to everybody who helped in this thread. The best way to find this is to ask for the sku (cech-XXXXX) model and make sure it is new. factory sealed not refurb. 99% guarantee under 3.55 are 120 gb and 250 gb 2009 slim models, check ps3devwiki for sku's. be careful when buying a new 250 gb ps3 because sellers can be confused with the newest UNHACKABLE super slim 4000 models.

    if you want to jb your ps3 you need ps3 on ofw 3.55 or you can get ps3 that can be downgrader thAT COST more cause you buying ps3 for 250 and than buy eflasher for 80 don,t make sense to do that what i would do is buy ps3 from ebay with ofw 3.55 and jb it make sure you check seller backaround out
