Mass Effect is a great Bioware RPG series and the spiritual successor to their SWKOTOR games that were released on Xbox and PC. I've played ME1 and 2 again on my Xbox because the decisions that you make in those 2 games have direct consequences in #3 and I wanted to make sure that I nailed the right chicks

Can't wait to play ME3 and find out the conclusion to this epic space opera. Being a sci-fi nerd and a rpg nerd, this series has been like a dream for me.

Metacritic scores for Mass Effect 2

94/100 from 62 critics for the PS3 version
94/100 from 55 critics for the pc version
96/100 from 98 critics for the 360 version

And an average score of 86/100 across all platforms from about 4000 user reviews.

To give you a comparison, MGS Sons of the Patriots scored 94/100 from 94 critics and has a score of 8.9 from 2200 user reviews.

So I think it is safe to say that Mass Effect is not a 'crappy' game, and if it is, then it's as crappy as MGS is.

I've never said anything about ME being a crappy game, in fact I love it I actually meant the newer FFXIII games. And why the hell did you start flaming MGS, because of my Avatar? :D, Just be cool guys. I'm on your side.

uhh, ME barely uses CGI, most cinematics are in-game. And yes, saros32, MGS is that crappy.just kidding ;>

Hey, stop hating on MGS people. I only included it in my original post to show that it and Mass Effect are equally liked by critics and the general public, nothing more.

Not my kind of game but if we all liked the same things then jellybeans would only come in one flavour, and what a boring world it would be.

its a pitty tho that the game mass effect 1 never came to light not even on psn or so.
how r the ps3 users supposed to know the previous story.

also will the mass effect 2 ps3 have a fusion wit ME3?

i think its strange of sony to ask for ME2 its kinda rubbish knowing that xbox360 has all the parts. what do u think?

i will give you a respectfull answer or opinion. in my opinion MGS1 of the psx is veeeeeeeeery good.
when i played 2 it was not nice and i couldnt bare such realistic graphics and still using that box to hide. I could except that of MGS1 not 2. and to forward a little bit. peace walker has such a big tutorial that i started to hate it. the missions r so rainbow six alike.

Microsoft own the rights to Mass Effect 1 but not 2, so that's why it got released on PS3.

And yes, the things that you do in ME2 on PS3 will have direct consequences in ME3.
