Thread: will i keep playing the waiting game

heres my problem i have a phat 40gb ps3 on ofw 3.70 ive been waiting on new cfw for months but it does'nt seem if thats ever going to come but if i downgrade its going to cost me £60 for the e3 and between £50-60 for true blue seems awfully expensive to pirate games i dont want to do all that then new cfw arrives what am i best doing

i'd suggest you to update to the latest 4.00 and use PSN. If any newer cfw comes, it would be developed on that current latest version, so it is pointless for you being on 3.70ofw. if you are willing to spend 120pounds for e3 and true blue, then go for it. there is nothing more you can do right now
since you have a fat console, it would be difficult for you to downgrade as it requires very much soldering

I'm waiting too for a new CFW or the HEN. I've got the PS3 Fat for 4-5 years and I'm on OWF 4.0.
My fault was that i forgot the jailbreak and updated everytime my PS3 :S

just buy another ps3 on version 3.55 or below.

Update to 4.0 and play all the new games that people on CFW can't play, and play them on PSN as well.

Don't buy a another 3.55 console if you already have a PS3, buy a 360, glitch it and play all the cross platform games for free from your hdd or flash the dvd, leave your PS3 on OFW and play all the latest Sony exclusive titles, that's what I'm going to do. When The Last of Us is released, if there is no way to play it on CFW then I'm going official.

No use sitting around waiting for a new CFW, your just missing out on playing all the great new games that are being released.

i wouldnt hold much hope for a new cfw to be honest it kakarotoks cant crack im doubtfull anyone will ive moved over to a 360 and its brill online and everything my ps3 gathers dust now i think ill sell it i keep checking this site now and then but theres never any usefull **** sell up and buy an xbox u wont regret it sony fanboys can blow me

I sold my xbox360 and now regretting it, but then mine was an old version can't do much either, so I am also thinking of getting a new xbox360, ps3 is great but there's no cfw and we are stucked with either get an expensive true blu which not all games work and needs eboot fix, or sell it. I am seriously thinking of parting with mine and going back to xbox360. It just sucks seeing all those new games playable on xbox and not ps3:(

TB? Expensive? You kidding me? It was just 52$ for me and 10 days of delivery, that's even cheaper than ONE PS3 GAME(well, for me, I'm importing them from Japan, so, well, 1 costs me 80+$)
Also, they fixed almost all games, and continue to fix both new and old games, so with time, everything's gonna be fixed.
