    What is the best way to do this and whitout losing my saves ???

    Connect to the internet and go to system update.......and update. You don't have to do anything special.

    Just install ofw 3.55 then upgrade to 4.0* ofw.

    Your saves is unaffected. I did it last year on my older console. I did delete MM etc on it, nothing else. I didnt even clear the logs and just updated. This was last June and its still working fine on PSN, and no saves lost, and no PSN warning emails.

    yes... you will not lose your data... but I think I read somewhere that you have to remove any homebrew from your PS3 before going online in the OFW.

    youre saves will work, but then youll have to pay for all your games, wont be able to use home brew apps, you get nothing special on 4.0 besides online play and the newer games
