There is a simple switch mod you can do which allows you to play backup PS2 discs on a legit BC PS3. It's basically just a way of ejecting the disc without the PS3 realising and all of the copy protection stuff gets read as soon as you put a legit disc in so you simply stick in an official PS2 game, flick the switch (which will spit out your game at about 1000MPH and then stick in your copy and flick the switch.

I'm thinking of doing it with my BC 60gb but it's mint and don't wanna open it.

Be better just to spend $30 and buy a 2nd hand chipped PS2. Less hassle.

Well yeah, and as it turns out PS1\2 backups have been disabled with the latest firmware so that as they say is that.

If you have other games to play, I think that you shouldn't even bother buying a second hand ps2. You'll save money, and some space in your room. In short time there will be many new ps2 classics ( I know Spongebob was a disappointment for the most, but look at the bright side, even the crappiest games take their place amongst the ps2 classics). If you do not agree, just check ps1 classics and reconsider it. There are almost every game a person could want from ps1 and they keep releasing more. Who would go and buy a ps1?

They will never release they truly great games as classics like Haunting Ground or the Project Zero\Fatal Frame trilogy.
I mean even Killzone isn't available yet.

What are you? An Oracle? Really, what gives you that idea , The games that you've just said, Fatal Frame and Haunting Ground are my favourite Horror Titles and I don't see a reason for them to not getting a psn release. You're not listening to me, when they started there wasn't any ps1 classics and no one thought they would release the full library and keep doing this for this long time. They're making good money from this. More money than the ps1 classics, why wouldn't they continue?

By the way Killzone wasn't a "great" game, it was a casual game with nothing special, yet releasing that shows that even these type of games will get a release. They will probably continue with some jrpg titles, They will probably continue with some sequels to ps1 titles. I'm guessing that we will see a full Shin Megami Tensei Collection (Of course not all at once), because Persona 1 and Persona 2 was released on PSN-PS1 classics. Also They could continue the Suikoden Series, and get some different titles like the ones you've said.

    Don't be so negative .
