PC Has HDMI input, how can i record?
So my pc has an HDMI input, and i can play my ps3 on my pc by changing the inputs. Is there anyway i can record my ps3 using my PC? like a software that displays HDMI input and i just use a screen recording softeware like Cam studio or Camtasia or fraps?

You need a Video Capture Card to do that..

Well i left out that my PC has the red white and yellow input also, isnt that a tuner card?
EDIT: i has this device AVerMedia A336 MiniCard Hybrid ATSC/QAM

i dont know but I rather record my games over Component Cables. You need to deal with the protection that HDMI had, I used to have one here but it cant record encrypted signals, it only shows Green on the screen when I record and a static sound. Mines handle ISDB digital signal and had HDMI 1.1 spec, Component Input (YPbPr/YCbCr/RGB) and Composite Input.
There's a capture card can handle this encryption but not with that capture card you have there.

so how do you do it? i can hook my ps3 into the component slots and display from that. is there a way to record with that?

let me confirm? do you have Component Input on your PC's Capture card? If yes, then you can. All thing you need now is a recording program.

any tuner card can inherently capture video. what you are looking for is capture software. your tv tuner should have came with it.

PS3 may block the other ports if HDMI is used.. you might have to use component cables to tv and composite to your Avermedia card..
