Thread: Who is going to update they're PS3 to play Final Fantasy XIII-2?

I liked Final Fantasy XIII and Xbox 360 is NOT an option for my broke self. Wait til it's cracked and put the game on the shelf, man. I actually traded my RROD for another PS2 straight up. Nothing is worth updating for, especially not online play. There are plenty of JRPGs out there for CFW, and if you must play like a FPS online, there are PCs for that.

This would never work for me, if it's new then I got to have it, old stuff that I've already played is old stuff that I've already played, and I don't want to play it again, especially JRPG's. I can only think of a couple of JRPG's that I have played more than once.

New games too me are like crack cocaine too a crackhead. Got's to have it now or I get the shakes.........

And on that note, Kingdoms of Amular - Reckoning ROCKS!!! Easily the best RPG that I've played in a long time.

Why not buy a second hand xbox and download the game for that?

Definitely not for Final Fantasy; however, I see myself updating in the next year if things don't change.

Right now my catalog of titles that aren't 3.55 compatible are small:
Rayman Origins, Soul Calibur, Resistance 3. (I'd probably buy a lot more new titles if I could play them now)

This year will seriously change things for me.
Torch Light 2, Journey, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, The Last Guardian, The Last of Us - Assuming it truly is Survival Horror
Kingdom of Hearts 3, and Dragons Crown.

It's only a matter of time tell I get the upgrading itch. Titles in italics I'll probably just buy on the PC to tide me over. Just depends on when I finally catch up on my backlog, or the next great game I want to play now comes out. Dragons Crown, kingdom of Hearts 3, and Ni no Kuni could be those games. :-)

Its up to the type of gameplayer if they will update. Maybe i will finish this FF I always lose interest halfway through on the old ones due to a blockbuster release coming out while im playing it, and then switch.

yep i updated my PS3, my legit PS3 it is. But my jailbroken console, no.

I believe it requires 3.7+.

I wouldn't do it for this game since it's playable on the Xbox 360, but I might do it for Tales of Graces.
