I was so looking forward to playing it after playing it in the Orange Box pack. But after struggling with the original Portal and it's mind numbing puzzles, I found Portal 2 to be way to easy, so either I have turned into some sort of gaming savant, or they dumbed the game down for the masses. Plus it was way too short, fun while it lasted though, it's just that it didn't ast longer than one evening session of gaming.

it's not easier. you just got better at noticing things in the games since you started. (listen to the developer commentary in both of them and you'll see what I mean)

Your sig trips me out. I paid 20$ to flash my xbox360. So say what u want but there's even a way to do it for free if your pc can hook up a sata drive. Im playing all the new games online. Let's see ur tb dongle do that

Same as you. I bought a jasper in auction with games, controllers, wifi adapter and other stuff for $200, then sold the games and extra stuff that I didn't need for $205. So I got a 250gb jasper for nothing, then paid $70 for someone to put a RGH in it.


All the dollar amounts are in NZD, so take off about 30% for USD and 50% for GBP.

Since I got it I now only fire up the PS3 to watch movies on, bit of a shame.

Doesn't really matter anyway, you still have to buy retail games if you want to play them on OFW with E3 flasher, but if you think it's better than me not paying for my new release games for my RGH, then good on ya. Denial is more than just a river in Egypt.

I don't care what console I play my games on, I just want the cheapest and easiest way to do it. It used to be my 3.55 PS3, but now it's my RGH 360, if a new CFW ever allows us to play 3.6+ games on the PS3 like we do with 3.55 then I might swap back, maybe. I've found the 360 good because most of the games are all under 9Gb (except for multi disk of course) so it means I can have a hell of a lot more games on my external with the 360 than the PS3, which is great.

be careful with online though.
microsoft have been known to use a ban flag which prevents your console from booting.

+rep to you sir, as I have decided to trade my 3.55 320gig ps3 tomorrow for a jtagged 360 with someone on craigslist for those very reasons that you stated. If they come out with a new cfw then I may swap back as well but this scene has been a joke for a while now unlike the 360 scene, and for the record, a jtag 360 is miles ahead of a 3.55 modded ps3. You can play ALL new games on it (instead of praying or hoping for someone somewhere to release a fix for said game), play online, most games are under 9gig as FreqEteQ stated (which is a god send in it self considering that most ps3 games are 16gigs - 40 gigs), and you can play ALL games discless. Not to mention the fact that it is is also capable of running homebrew. The only thing I will miss about the ps3 is the ability to watch old .avi movies on showtime that normally wouldnt play on a 360 and .mkv movies so ill only miss it for video lol.

That's why I use Xlink Kai, best to stay as far away from live as possible, just to be safe. I've heard of MS disabling the ability to save games to the Hdd and all access to online features, but never knew that they disabled whole consoles, good to know, I'll have to read up on it.

ah. good thing you are avoiding paying for live.
though you can kai to play online on PS3 too.

there's been many things worse than that they have done. all unnecessary of course.
the only time I think it's justified for a console maker to do that is to the cheaters in mariokart. (the only thing they can do is wipe the console)
