Thread: TrueBlue 2.5 update? Jan 24th

No eboots are making me go crazy. i check 4-5 different sites every hour to see if new eboots get released. i know that is sad. i just hope gary would stop saying things like "few days or less" when nothing happened afterward. he makes me cry at night. :(

Anyone have problems with the update? I was running TB CFW 2.0 but after starting the 2.5 updater I get an error that says CFW 2.0 required. Do I need to reinstall TB CFW 2.0?

I usually frequent these boards for the latest news, but today became a registered user.

I am currently pondering getting the True Blue dongle and just wonder if i could get some detailed assesments of it. I know there is info around, but all seems rather scattered or a little vague.

I guess what i would like to know is there any extra software needed when I get it such as a disc or is it now updated to where you get the dongle with required software.
Also where are some trusted retailers online I can get it from? Any help is appreciated.

i got mine from lightake.com and you need to install their cfw for the dongle and update the dongle's firmware. just go to truebluejb2.com and click downloads and that's what you need. it's been really great to me!

For anyone who cares, Driver: San Francisco (retail) seems to only work with the TB CFW V2, and dongle 2.5 FW. Tried it on V1/2.4 and it doesn't work. (Don't have Rebug TB CFW, so can't test)

@Soul35, I purchased mine from fyygame.com. Waited about 3-4 weeks, which seems to be about the normal waiting time from fyygame or lightake.com. Just search around the net for the CFW v2 firmware and 'fixed' dongle 2.5 FW. By 'fixed', I heard that the first release of 2.5 would still say 2.4. I did a bit of searching and found both CFW V2 and Dongle 2.5 FW somewhere other than ps3iso.
