Well, there aren't any new ps2 classics on psn right now, but there are two more titles announced: Killzone and Twisted Metal Black. Even if I do not enjoy much of those game genres, I have to admit that I'm glad Sony's releasing "exclusive titles" on psn. But this just isn't about it. You know how I'd like to play older games on my slim, so I've did some research, and found more information about the titles which will be released on the psn. I do not know if this is a reliable source but I will tell you about it anyway.

Since we are not allowed to give direct links, I can't give you the exact page. But you all know ESRB, which is used to rate games we play. After Googling it, and searching for random games on it, I've seen some titles (which weren't released for ps3), are rated for ps3. I suspected this was a mistake on the ESRB database, but these games weren't rated for ps3 before the latest esrb check. Here are the titles:

Hitman Blood Money
Grand Theft Auto III
Grand Theft Auto Vice City

These are great news for me too. But considering how slow sony is on ps2 classics (it's been two months since they released one, and they say they will release the other ones like Killzone and Twisted Metal 15-20 days later), it will take forever for us to get a big ps2 library.

There are many people asking about "playin ps2 games on their slims". Most of our members do not have proper information about this, so I decided to explain this a little more:

You can't directly play ps2 games on your ps3 if you do not have a backwards-compatible console, which is fairly rare. If you own a slim ps3, this means . You can wait for psn releases, but they're pretty slow and none of them are cracked yet. The other solution is Cobra Dongle, which has poor compatibility, for now none of the ps2 games work properly for a slim console. But if you are interested in getting one, they are more open minded than sony, they take requests and consider them as I've seen on their support forum. They've just released 15 more psp titles for both bc and none-bc consoles. And if it'll make them more money, I'm sure like the other dongle people, they will consider to improve ps2 emulator, probably game by game. But like I said, they need a little push. I've seen their support forum, and none of the users said anything about improved compatibility for slims. So it seems more likely.

Or another possible solution in the future is, hard modding. No one said anything about this, and it is unlikely to be done, unless you can insert an emotion chip or some support hardware to your usb slots, this isn't possible.

So, I hope, this info filled the gaps on your minds.
