Thread: survival horror games...

why is there less of this genre?they should make more horror games like resident evil and silent hill.less war games and more survival horror games would rock!!anybody here love horror games ?

The new silent hill is coming out later this year, its called downpour

The last Silent Hill game on the PS3 was decent. Looking forward to the next.

Resident Evil is not survival horror it's action/adventure.

Silent Hill isn't anything near as scary as games on PS2/Wii. PS3 doesn't have any decent horror games.

Its a true SURVIVAL horror game not that scary more intense i had to pause few times of the pure itense momments

Silent Hill on PSX is scaryest game ever and then Siren on the PS2! Japanese survival horors are the best! I'm looking forward to Dead Island and new Silent Hill, hope they will be scary and entartaining.. I'm so disapointed that Alan Wake didnt come to PS3 or PC.. this is also scary and atmospheric game.

You just didn't play Zero series(known as Project Zero in Europe and a Fatal Frame in USA).

They aren't survival horror NOW, but they used to be.

I can't agree more. Zero 1,2,3 on PS2 & Zero 4 on Wii were scary as hell. I've just started playing them again few days ago, you should definetly try them out ! It's not PS3 related, but rumors are going on now about a new Zero game on PS3 (or maybe a remake ? who knows).

Now, if i i had to point out a scary game from the current game, i'd say Siren on PS3 as it's almost the only. I haven't tried the silent hill on PS3, atleast, not yet. I'm hoping for downpour to be good enough, and i won't comment about resident evil 5 as they just killed the franchise, that's my 2 cents.

But i gotta agree with Figo7, back in the days, Silent Hill on PSX was the scariest experience ever, i don't remember how old i was, but seeing babies coming at me, i almost had to shutdown the PSX, haha. :D

I'M getting siren right now it looks cool .....the best horror game for me was resident evil 1 for psx and the remake was so good as well
