Thread: Black Ops 2 will freeze if you are connected to PSN

I put the game on my ps3's Hard drive and i connected it to my computer by ftp ( i used filezilla) and i deleted them from there, dont try to delete them from multiman. Try putting the game in ur ps3's hard drive and not ur external hard drive and then do what i said above

Are you running duplex release and able to get online after deleting the two files?

Does the game still freeze when connected to PSN before starting the game?

ya i'm running the duplex release and i i didn't go online after i deleted the extra files.

were you logged into PSN when you started the game? If not, nothing was gained by removing those files anyway if it still freezes then, and if online is still blocked..

Well guyz, I´ve gotten the very same issue, however, the issue which appears when booting the game while being online is considerably insignificant. What I do care about most is the actual multiplayer.

Therefore I conducted an "experiment" creating a new user bootin BO II offline and then loggin´into multiplayer.....BAM...it worked and after like 4-5 mins of playing HC S&D I got "kicked" off the server and now I wouldn´t be able to connect again ^^....WTF??????????????????? Anyone got that one solved?????? THX in advance!

Simply disconnect from PSN and the game will load fine. Bad coding on Treyarch's part.

Same, multiplayer was working great before, but now when on PSN and starting up the game it freezes.
Don't worry. Should be fixed by tomorrow.

just made another new account deleted the file PS3PATH.BUP of my copy got online 5mins got got banned again checked my backup and the file PS3PATH.BUP was back ???
their are other files one the disc that generate the PS3PATH.BUP and it gets checked and then baned if your using a copy

Add this to the PS3PATH.BUP and thats how treyarc are detecting you. btw you can delete these if there on the ext just pop back to pc and remove

treyarch would not even both think of people with dynamic ips ect proxys are so easy to come by they know this.



i highly doubt this tbh the servers are set so they download a cache everytime you logon said cache can be configured to do file comparisons.



works for all of 5 minutes i think they run a 3 strike policy first id then mac then notification to sony for them to act as its probably beyond their control then



alot of these are running jailbroke consoles as with bo1 some innocents got caught up in the crossfire especially on the 360



100% if you use a clean drive copy your duplex release over leave it at ver:1.0 keep psn on and sign in but ignore the prompt for the update game works flawless but your asked to update for online features once clicking multi/zombies


more than 24 hours now, made 21 lvls




maybe some of u didnt notice but before the unavailability of server , at least for me,i got a pop up windows saying that the "settings have changed" (or sort of) after that i played kinda 10-15 min more, then byebye BOPS2

heres something for someone to check on initial load of ver:1.0 the top right corner displays bo2 ver 1.70 after 1.02 update you progress to 2.00 then after all these error msgs and settings changed your on 2.24 yet you only actually updated once with 1.02 either via usb or via ps3 xmb when joining the game


very interesting wonder if [MENTION=163760]ZOMBIEKILLAH[/MENTION] can get his head into update 1.02 and then the diffrence in files once again after getting settings has changed message and ingame version change from 2-2.24
