Thread: Hoping For A FFVII Remake

I appreciate that Square gets another stories that compliment the original one like dirge of Cerberus and the most recent psp game (cant remember name), but as they say before, this game is an epic story that doesn't need a remake, its what it makes it amazing, i know a lot of fans want better graphics and other stuff, but that was also the power of the 7...you don't need amazing graphics for an amazing story and gameplay.

I havent play FF 12 and 13, i want to, so i can understand what has kept squares mind away of creating an Hd version (yes..hd version..way different from a remake) of FF7

FreqEteq, you literally described the exact reasons why I never finished FFXIII! So damn linear it killed me. Seriously, I'd prefer FF7 simply updated to HD as well. I guess I should have been more specific. Rework the character sprites, touch up the graphics, and update the sound to something similar to what was in FF7 Advent Children. THAT I would buy. Hell, I'd update to OFW for that, and I love CFW like fat kids love cake.

they wont be able to re touch the ff7-9 games due to the high poly count when making the games, it cost to much to do. if they did it with the graphics of what was used for ff13 it would probably be more than 3 bluray discs. not just that but it would cost alot more to make this time around and not that many people will buy it when they can just download it.

CAPCOM did it for the Resident Evil remake on the Gamecube, just updated the graphics while keeping everything else the same.

FF7 is just 2D backgrounds that you move your characters around (except for battles and world map) so I can't see why updating the graphics would be so hard.

They did it with FF3 for the NDS and iPhone - check my post here →final fantasy X will not be a remake←, hell, I'd be happy with those kind of graphics in FF7 on my PS3

I don't know why they won't do it, there would be so many people who would wh0re themselves on the street for $5 a trick just for the chance to play an updated version of this game, FF7 fans ARE fanatical.

If the director of FFVII (Yoshinori Kitase) allows it.

Alas, it's not going to be remaked, just play the game in your dream, with virtual reality graphics.

Hmm.. FF VII remake is not a bad. But I Think square will only do this as they're last resort. I mean almost everybody knows It has a great story and Great gameplay (considering in PS1) then if they heard a Remake of this game. surely many people will buy it. In my opinion. but I prefer they make a Kingdom Hearts 3, Finish that FF 13 Versus that takes so long to be released that It just became a rumor now, and Make a Parasite Eve game and Valkyrie Profile game for PS3. Also Tomb raider(God, Lara is more beautiful now(combination of cute and sexy hehehe) is coming. if you ask me. It looks like uncharted. meh.. Sinking boat...
