hi doc, nice upload, but its DL .. , i got slim ps2 but cant play DL disk game.. any solutions for this?

Slims can play DL disks, I'd like to find whoever is spreading this lie around the net and give them a sound flogging.
If your ps2 (any ps2 not just slims) can't read DLs then it is because your laser is too old and needs to be replaced.

Yes you need to patch it with the toxic patcher.

I tried to download the toxic patcher but I failed. Firefox and IE gave me a 'cannot read from source file' error (when it is almost done) while chrome gave me a corrupted file where I cannot unzip (even after repairing it). What could be the problem? Please help...

No idea.
Two problems I see are you use IE and chrome which are bad ideas.
IE is crap and should never be used outside of doing windows update unless you enjoy getting viruses.
Chrome is adware driven crap nuff said.
