I assume you didn't get an answer because we don't know. I don't think you could keep the same saves because the japanese and US versions will have different game IDs. The best way to know is to try it, and please post the results if you do.

No the save data are not compatible. I mean, even PAL UK with PAL Multi Five are not so...

Nightwalff : since I really need the DUB version, do I need to do anything else to burn it on a Dual Layer disc? I have heard some say I need to patch it with some "Toxic" patch (like Scoolov's below), some other say I don't. Also, at what speed is it recommanded to burn such big games? 2.4x? I have a 4x Verbatim DL-DVD

yes you need to patch it... toxic's dl patch is basically a way to replicate a pressed disc with software because burned discs are different. And 2.4x is the way to go for DL

Ummm.. As far as I understand it, UNDUB versions are originally the DUB versions BUT reverse engineered to replace the voices to their original Jap seiyuus since they sound WAY MORE badass/cute w.e cause Japan takes voice acting srsly, so in that sense they would have the same game ID.

AND much to my surprise it worked, i was able to load my save file with this UNDUB version from the DUB version i was playing that froze at the end of chap 7.

That's weird, I have had several games NOT work like that. I'm really glad for you, though!

i downloaded all the files and when i extracted them there was a mds and iso file i clicked on the mds file and it said Cannot open file:\DVDIMAGE.ISO Reason:The system cannot find the file specified.
so i just burned the iso file and i inserted it into the ps2 and the ps2 couldnt even read the disc it kept saying reading disc....reading disc.... etc. etc.
wtf is up with this

is it working on HDLoader 0.8c?

what speed do i use? i burned it with 8x then the game is slower on load times and in the loading screen...the game lags for me

If you burned at 8x and the game doesn't work then you are using crappy media.
Buy some quality media and try again.
