    Sony came out with a new version. Someone will update this when the details come out, but for new assume it's a V16. 99% of current modchips won't work with it.

    If it says it works on v16, then yeah, it works on v16.

    And 79001 is not 79002. They're different, what works on 1 might not work on the other.

    all the controller ports for all the models are universal right? well cept for the slims
    Do you think i could switch the ports from my v10 to my v7.
    Since my V7 was the one i was using(since it was modded) before my cousin broke the ports
    i was hoping i could fix it by swaping the components. Do you guys think it would work?

    NTSC-J = Japanese
    NTSC-U/C = USA/Canada
    PAL = Everywhere else

    NTSC/PAL also means the frequency signal sent from the source to the T.V. Pal is 50Hz meanwhile NTSC is 60Hz. Obviously PAL frequencies don't work with NTSC televisions and vice versa. When a PS2 is modded, the signal "limit" is overwritten therefore both frequencies can be used with any model of the PS2.
