actually, the disc has to have a minimum of 600,000 sectors to be a "true" DVD
i'm not sure where the 1.4GB originally came from, but it's more like 1.16GB or 1.19GB (i'm old - memory going "bye-bye")

as long as the disc has more than 600,000 sectors on it, it will work
(although more is not bad, and it's not a bad thing to be "safe rather than sorry" lol)
not "calling anyone out" or anything...just pointing it out
BTW, this TUT works great and has helped me get many "non-HD compatible" CD games to work!

I was wondering if there is anyway to put multiple cd games to one dvd, then patch that for ESR. I know there are several tutorials on that floating around but I can't seem to find any.
Any of you guys know? Seems kind of a waste to use one dvd for one cd game

It came from the guy that created ESR.
If a game is any less than 1.4gb then there is only a 50/50 chance ESR will boot it.

Does this only works with ESR? what if i have a (Modbo 750) chipped console? im asking because i wasted 3 DVD's so far trying to convert Rez.
The file is an MDS, however i used Ultraiso to convert it to standard Iso and burned that to CD, and is working fine in both, PS2 emulator and my console, so i followed the tutorial using Imgburn to creat a .bin/.cue from the working CD, and still, this .bin works with PS2 emulator, then proceed to next steps, and when i finish to create the modiffied Iso, it isn't working anymore with PCSX2, so im certain that somewhere between exctracting the files with CDMage and creating the new Iso with Imgburn the game breaks.
Also, in the past i've tried with Ico and Star Wars Lego with the same crappy results, if somebody could help me to convert this game it would be awesome, here's the link to download it http://www.megaupload.com/?d=nundtn5e

This should work just fine with any booting method, if not using ESR then leave out the part about the ESR patcher.
Some games just don't work when converted, so all you can do is try.

Well, one easy way to tell, is by checking the size of the Iso, if it is bigger than 700 MB, then it's a DVD game for sure. Kingome Hearts it's a DVD by the way.
So... maybe that's the reason Rez doesn't work, dammit.

Has anyone tried Oneechanbara (vol. 61) with this? I've burned a few copies but none of them work. I followed the steps and burned it with imgburn, but it only displays a black screen. I also tried burning with Nero, but the same thing happens. They both burn a video_ts and audio_ts folder. Am I doing something wrong, or does it just not work?.

The video and audio folders are added by the ESR patcher to trick your ps2 into thinking it's a dvd video.
If you put the disk back in your PC you "should" see the games files on the disk, if all you see is the DVD video folders then there is a 50/50 chance that the game just doesn't work with esr.
I had Big Mutha Truckers sow up that way but it works just fine.
