Thread: Please Insert Plastation 2 format disc, ulaunch help

Hey guys i am following the swap trick tutorial with 007. I am using tony hawk pro skater 3, and tried NCAA 2007. Tony hawk had a file that ended with .99 and ncaa had the NETGUI.ELF file. I swapped both for the ulaunch.elf files i renamed it and resize it like on the tutorial. Everything seemed to go fine, i was able to swap the disc and continue to play it but as soon as i click to launch the ulauncher it goes black and then it says please insert a playstation or playstation 2 format disc.

What is wrong i dont understand.I have a 7500 console, i am pretty sure we bought it before 2008 so my question is what can i do ? Is there anybody out there that ever heard of this? Does it happen? What do i have to do???

you have blocked all the three sensors rite?

yeah i've blocked the 3 sensors and i am able to swap the disc while its open no problem. I was reading on some other places and i hear that sometimes the games do another bar check for original ps2 check before launching elf files.

Does this happen because of the game disc? Or does this happen because of the ps2 firmware? I'm thinking of giving up and going to go buy 007 agent under fire at my local gamestop and give that a try.
