    Default PS2 lags

Hi guys, I have a real big problem which is lagging in games. When I play such games as Liberty City Stories or even some psx games it happens.
GTA LCS is mostly unplayable it laggs much, especially when I rotate the camera, these games are copies, but they were burned well. There is no any lagging in DMC 1,2,3 and Resident Evil4, but it happens in some games, what more I replaced laser unnit for a new one, and it's still happens.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you

What media are you burning on and at what speed?

I burn on Sony DVD-R AcuCore with x8, so it doesn't seem like it is the problem and psx games are burned on Verbatims with x24, the same as cd ps2 games.
When I play some cd ps2 games my ps2 is noisy, but when I play ps2 games on dvd or psx games there is no noise then.

With the PS2 games I don't know, maybe a dirty laser or a bad iso?
Try a laser lens cleaner and see if that helps anything, if not try getting the game from a different source.
With the PSX games, no wonder they don't work you are burning them too bloody fast.
PSX games should never be burned at over 4x.

Lags in PSX and PS2 games are very similar, I mean it's almost the same thing, I'd say it lags "the same way".

Sounds like a laser issue. It's either dirty and needs to be cleaned or it's going and needs to be replaced.

But it was replaced some time ago.
I could buy another ps2, and it has the same issue.

If I was you then, I would start looking into HD loading, External HD loading and network loading as your other options.
