Thread: Toxic dual Layer patcher error

Using the TDLP from sksapps, I tried to patch Rogue Galaxy (the DVD9 version) and i got this message:

Searching: Found IOPRP300.IMG
Patching: Failed!!

The Game is in ISO form. Is it possibly because I used the ESR patch BEFORE i used the TDLR?

That is more than likely the problem, or the iso was already patched with the toxic patch.
ESR patcher must be used as the last step before burning.

You must put all patches before the ESR Patch.
Could remove the ESR, then the TDLP. Then patch TDLP, then ESR.

How do I check to se if it's already patched/Remove the TDLR patch in order to retry the process?

Also, when i put the initial RG i made that just had the esr patch into my ps2, it flashed a few different colors before hanging on a black screen (I went through the whole ESR gui and it recognized the Disc as a ps2DVD)

Edit: Also, i got the Iso from Chimpz MU thread.

If you must use the DVD9 version then I recommend using it from USB with Open PS2 Loader, it seems to work better.
If you want to play it from DVD I recommend the undub version, because it's a dvd5 and it has better voice acting.

Will the DVD5 version work on a DL disc (Thats the only kind i have atm)? Also, lol, I like Will Friedle's voice for Jaster (I've played the game before, heh-heh, used to own it).

Also, for Open ps2 Loader, could I use my psp as the USB? It's the only usb i have higher than a 4gb.

To tell the truth I don't know the answer to either of those questions.
I can only assume that the dvd5 version will work on a dvd9 as it was originally a dvd9.
As for if your psp will work all I can say is give it a try.
The best thing about USB devices is it isn't permanent, if it doesn't work just delete it, no disks wasted, no money lost, just a few minutes of your time.

Hmm...Well, I don't wanna risk my PSP so, I'll just settle for the DVD5 version. I just made a kh2FM+ DVD with a memorex and it runs perfectly, so, I'll just go with that. It prolly isn't the best method, but I'll go with it.
