    Default ps2 allmost dead

    It looks like the ps2 is allmost dead with the only releases coming out are sports games and no well known titles coming out for the ps2. The last ps2 game to be released is NBA 2K 12 on 10/04/11 unless EA or 2K decide to release more sports games in the futute. So it seems like there isnt any more good games coming out for the ps2. :(

    But the ps2 has had a really good run and I personally like the games than the newer systems and also there are still 100s of games I havent played yet because the ps2 massive libary.

    So what are your guys feelings known that the ps2 is allmost dead?

    Update: Now Pro Evoulution Soccer 2012 coming out on ps2 on 11/8/11 so it look like there still going to be making sports games in 2012

    yeah it is but on 8/30/11 but the last game that they annonced was nba 2k 12 and only sports games are getting released now

    My guess is that when they stop Madden on the PS2, that will be the last game released for it. Homebrew will continue for a long time though.

    Well it lived a long time. Wouldn't it be funny if they sold some ps2 games still when the ps4 came out. ( saying it would come next year.)

    What really surprises me is that the console itself is still selling. My local Walmart can barely keep them in stock.

    lol im not a sports fan so its pretty much dead to me now scince they only make sports games for it

    It's amazing how something can be worth so much when released and end up being worthless.

    I remember when I first got a PS2, I thought it was soo amazing.

    yeh the Ps2 had a gr8 run
    i still got mines in tip top condition with the network adapter
    hmmm i wonder if socom would still connect to online servers? :D
